Swimming Stars of the Term -Spring Term 2026

⭐ Star of the Term – Callum ⭐

Callum has been swimming with us for a few years now, and what a journey it has been. When he first started, he had limited speech and found it difficult to follow instructions. Since then, we have seen steady progress each term — but this term his improvement has been truly amazing.

His confidence, understanding and swimming ability have all come on so much, and we couldn’t be prouder of everything he has achieved. Presenting him with his Star of the Term award was a very emotional moment for our team.

Callum is an absolute pleasure to teach and he truly makes our hearts happy. We are so proud to be part of his journey. 💙🏊‍♂️⭐

⭐ Star of the Term – Ashton ⭐

When Ashton first started swimming with Funkey Fitness, he was a very nervous swimmer and found swimming on his back quite frightening.

This term he has worked incredibly hard to overcome his fears and has shown fantastic determination in every lesson. We are so proud to celebrate that Ashton has now achieved his 10 metre award and is even enjoying swimming in the deep end! 🏊‍♂️

What an amazing achievement — well done Ashton, we are all so proud of you! 💙👏

⭐ Star of the Term – George ⭐

When George first joined Funkey Fitness, he was a nervous beginner and quite shy. Over time, he has worked incredibly hard and his confidence has grown more and more each week.

George now arrives at his lessons with a big smile, ready to get in the pool and give his best. This weekend he achieved his 5 metre award, which is a fantastic milestone in his swimming journey! 🏊‍♂️

We are so proud of you George — keep shining and enjoying your swimming! 💙

⭐ Star of the Term – Penny ⭐

A huge well done to Penny for being awarded Funkey Fitness Star of the Term!

Penny has made amazing progress in her swimming this term. Her confidence, determination and hard work in every lesson have really shone through. We are so proud to celebrate that she has achieved her 15 metre award — a fantastic milestone in her swimming journey.

There is truly no stopping Penny now, and we can’t wait to see what she achieves next.

Well done Penny, we are all so proud of you and your incredible achievement 🏊‍♀️💙

Swimming Star of the Term – Ruby

A huge well done to Ruby, one of our Swimming Stars of the Term!

When Ruby first joined Funkey Fitness she was a very nervous beginner, but this term she has shown incredible bravery and determination. She has worked so hard to overcome her fears and her confidence in the water has grown so much.

Ruby is now swimming happily in the deep end, which is a huge achievement and something she should be extremely proud of.

We absolutely love seeing her progress and can’t wait to see what she achieves next.

Swimming Star of the Term – Malakai 🌟

A huge well done to Malakai, one of our Swimming Stars of the Term! 🏊‍♂️⭐

Malakai has made amazing progress this term. His strokes have improved so much and he continues to grow in confidence every single week.

He always bounces through the door with a huge smile on his face, bringing such positive energy to poolside — he truly brightens up our sessions and is an absolute pleasure to teach.

We are all so proud of you Malakai… keep shining ⭐

Funkey Fitness Swimming Star Of The Term

A huge well done to Erin, our very first Star of the Term!

The last time we completed distance assessments Erin achieved her 10 meter Front Crawl award, but since then she has shown incredible focus and determination in her lessons. By attending two lessons each week and working consistently hard, Erin has now achieved her 20m Swim England badge in all strokes.

Her commitment, effort and fantastic progress in the water have really stood out this term and we are so proud of how far she has come

Superstars of the Week -9th March

⭐ This Week’s Swimming Stars ⭐

This week at Funkey Fitness we have been so proud of our swimmers and the fantastic progress we are seeing across all stages.

From children overcoming their fears and building confidence in the water, to swimmers achieving new distance awards and improving their stroke technique — it has been a brilliant week in the pool.

We love seeing our swimmers grow not only in ability, but also in confidence, resilience and enjoyment. Their hard work, determination and positive attitude make teaching them an absolute pleasure.

A huge well done to all of our Swimming Stars this week — you should be incredibly proud of yourselves ⭐🏊‍♂️

Superstars of the Week - 2nd March

Funkey Fitness Stars of the Week ⭐️

Over the past week — and continuing this evening — we have been assessing our Swim England Distance Awards and we have been absolutely amazed by the progress we’ve seen across all of our swimmers.

From first few metres to smashing personal bests, the determination, confidence and improved technique has been incredible to watch 👏

We’ve also loved welcoming some brand new swimmers to Funkey Fitness this week — it’s been brilliant seeing you settle in 🩷
